Be sure and check out the photo that shows the setup at my home. These were taken just before I moved into the new studio. Parker couldn't wait!

WPPI Las Vegas

Christopher Nelson and I just got back from a long, inspiring week in Vegas at the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International conference. We were able to meet some of our favorite photographers, attend some amazing classes, and get information on services from over 400 vendors! It took me a few days to recover afterward, but it was well worth it.

New RJM promo photoshoot!

I am excited to share the recent promo shoot with Red Jacket Mine. The concept was to come up with something fun that wasn't standard. I think we were successful. I am hosting a gallery HERE so you can enjoy them.

Winter Engagement Photos

I love taking portraits in The Market!  Everything is so alive and colorful, even on a crisp day in early January.  This simple backdrop is interesting without taking away the feeling of intimacy and the understated colors add to the dreamy quality.

Flights and flights

I am finally done with my busy travel schedule, at least for the month. At one point I was on 8 flights in 5 days! This week I have been in Las Vegas taking photos at a trade show and I get to go home today. I am ready for a little rest, although I wouldn't complain about a flight to Maui. This is a photo from the first day of the show.

Friday Mile @ The Tractor

Thanks again to Friday Mile for having me at their recent show at the Tractor Tavern. They packed the house and rocked the best set I have seen them perform. This band is on the move.

RIP The Globe

Another great longtime Seattle establishment is closing. The Globe Cafe, my favorite place to drink coffee, have a comforting breakfast, and read the Stranger will close on December 31st. I will miss the biscuits and gravy, the great light from the windows, and the ever entertaining owner, Michael. I have gathered some of the snapshots I have taken with my pocket Nikon to create a small homage to my home away from home. Check it out HERE.

There is still a little time to experience this wonder of home style vegetarian breakfast fare.

Imaginary Holiday Party

Please enjoy the photos I did last night at the holiday party for the Three Imaginary Girls/Imaginary Liz's birthday. It was a great show with my friends Tullycraft heading the bill. Also some fun shots with my good friend Christopher Nelson.

Check 'em out HERE!

RIP The Croc

I will really miss the Crocodile Cafe and I hope it is replaced with something equally as cool. I have seen lots of great shows there and had the opportunity to photograph some of them.

The Tullycraft show tonight has moved to El Corazon. I'll be there with my camera!

Freaky Frye Day

I just made it down the the Frye Art Gallery for Patricia Piccinini's exhibit Hug: Recent Work by Patricia Piccinini. This is some of the most important work I have seen in Seattle, not to be missed. It examines our (human's) place in the world and questions our relationship with the other beings we share this planet with.

You can see it (for FREE!) at the Frye until January 6th.

Clean Living

I try to keep my images clean without distracting elements. Here is a perfect example of simple, clutter-free composition.

New Website!

Check out the new look! www.sethwonner.com

Meanwhile here is a shot of Tullycraft live at KEXP. Jenny is the sweetest person on the planet! Thanks to KEXP for the invitation and to Tullycraft for being their usual fun selves.

Winter Already?

I can't believe how fast the summer went by. Thank you to all of the great summer brides that made 2006 a landmark year for me. Winter weddings present their own set of challenges as well as unique opportunities. I love this high-key photo of a winter bride that fully embraced the cold, wet weather with her fabulous hood and gloves.

Beyond portraiture

I love sharing my portraits but I haven't been sharing any of the great candid photography I have been doing. Here is a photo from the Space Needle during a toast. The combination of impeccable composition, exposure, and expression help tell the story.

Creating drama

What an incredible summer so far! This stunning image from a wedding on Orcas Island just reminds me of what I love about photography. Using a portable strobe light I was able to expose the background properly and bathe the couple in a classic portrait light. Something old, something new.

Having fun

Fun and spontaneity are key ingredients for getting amazing wedding photos. This is truly unique and in the moment.
